A return to magic after pet loss – An adventure with Rags, an angel cat

An adventure with Rags, an angel cat

Today I want to share a truly extraordinary sacred spirit journey I made for Sue and her angel cat, Rags. Rags turned out to be quite a character – an adventurous angel cat, who took us on a magical journey which enabled me to bring back a wonderful message and gift for his grieving human.

Here is what happened when I made a sacred spirit connection with Sue’s beloved angel cat, Rags.

As I begin the journey, my focus goes for a moment to my feet. I seem to have bare feet, but I do not feel the ground under my feet.

“That’s because you’re standing in the clouds”, my spirit guide says, smiling.

Blue sky, sunlight, fluffy white clouds as far as the eye can see.

At first the cloud landscape looks empty, then I see a shape coming towards us. Rags comes running, amazingly beautiful with his thick coat of long hair. He stops in front of us and looks up at us with the most adorable face.

“Hi”, he says, in a friendly and open manner. “Let me show you something”. Rags leads us across the cloud landscape which seems to stretch a long distance, like a floor. We come to an opening where we have a grand view over a beautiful sunlit landscape; a sea shore and nature landscape with trees.

“I love to play up here among the fluffy clouds ― and I have a friend who flies me around. We’re going on adventures.”

M: “That sounds great. Who’s your friend?”

A big, beautiful seagull comes by, graceful and pure white. He reminds me of ‘Jonathan Livingstone Seagull’ [from the book by Richard Bach]

Then Rags says:

“I want to go and visit Mom now. She’s waiting for me.”

Then we all fly through the air, Rags on the seagull. We fly in over the land and closer to the ground. It’s spring time. We pass over a magical wild nature area with blooming apple trees. He picks an apple blossom and says,

“This is my gift to her. A gift of love ― of spring, of new life, joy and beauty to help her find the beauty she saw in me around her in the Now. Enter the season of Spring with a light heart, knowing I am at peace, explaining the infinite possibilities this unrestrained life in spirit is.

Tell her not to worry about me. I send her all my love and my blessings through the beauty of nature ― all these small miracles that occur every day if you are open to them. There is no need for forgiveness, for no wrong was done. Between us is only love.”

He runs over to a pond and up on a thick branch leaning out over the water.

“Look”, Rags says, pointing across the water, and there a unicorn stands, pure white. Rags smiles to us and says:

“Tell her she can find this magical place of healing, beauty and peace in her heart. Her heart is big, and connecting with me there will bring her healing and help her return to a state of joy, peace and magic.

Join me for the adventure it is to live fully in the Now, seeing the beauty within and without.

Healing will take place faster now that we have connected.”

M: “But you said that you wanted to visit Sue, and we haven’t done that yet.”

Rags says, “That’s what we’re going to do now, so I can give her my flower.”

He runs over to a white gate and opens it. Sue who has been on the other side not knowing how to get in, now steps into the magical landscape. Relief, joy and much love as the two are reunited, and Rags offers her the apple blossom. She accepts it gratefully and places it on her heart.

They stay awhile, here in this special place, being together like they’ve never been apart; being fully in the Now, taking in every moment of this magical meeting.

When it’s time to say goodbye, there’s no sadness, for they both know they can meet in this sacred place anytime they want.

Rags is joyful, present, very energetic, happy, and Sue leaves with a feeling of peace and a renewed sense of magic.

Before we end, I ask Rags one last question:

“You talk about Spring, but what if it’s not Spring where Sue lives?”

Rags: “It’s Spring in her heart now. The dark winter of grieving is over, and it’s time for Spring, bringing new life, light, joy and beauty, and a renewed sense of magic. Does that answer your question?”

M: “Yes, thank you.”

“You’re welcome.”

I thank Rags and my spirit guides, say goodbye and end the journey.

I hope that you have found Rag’s journey and message inspiring.

Sacred spirit connections with animals in the afterlife can take place in a variety of ways. This extraordinary journey had the form of an adventure and a return to magic; other animals in the afterlife simply come and deliver their message of love and peace in their own calm and loving way. Each animal has their own unique personality and purpose, and their own way of expressing their love for their human. You can read another example of a sacred spirit connection with a client’s pet in the afterlife in “Britney – An angel dog’s message of joy and light”.

If you after reading these messages, wish to receive a message from your own animal companion in the afterlife, you can read more here: “Receive a message from your pet in the afterlife.”

“When my cat Rags died last year I searched in vain for books on pet loss until I found Marianne’s book online and read it on my Kindle. I found it to be a huge help in accepting that Rags’ physical body had gone but his beautiful spirit hadn’t. When Marianne made a connection with him in the afterlife I realised I didn’t need to feel guilt about his illness, and that the love we had lives on. Rags’ message was inspiring and healing. I love to think he’s out there somewhere having fun. He was a real character of a cat and that came through in the message.” ~ Sue M.

My cat Daisy, a Maine Coon, has been missing three and half weeks. I have searched and done all the usual things to find her. I am torn between believing she is dead but also still alive but lost and frightened. I am a novice Shamanic believer and want to try a journey to help. A missing cat in some ways is worse than a cat who has died as you can never know either way. I have other cats and dogs who need me but the torture about Daisy who is so beautiful, is terrible. My nights are full of restless sleep and waking to the realisation she us not here. I sill keep reading your messages, thank you.
