It is through Sacred Spirit Journeys, a variation of shamanic journeys, that I connect and communicate with animals in the afterlife. Through these journeys I can also connect with animals that are still alive, and with Spirit. These journeys also bring healing, guidance and insights for clients concerning many different aspects of their lives. One thing that brings much comfort when your beloved pet has passed, is to receive a personal healing message from them.

As I prepare to do the Sacred Spirit Journey to connect with Sharon’s angel cat Mikey, I feel inspired to go out into the garden. I find a spot in the sun and get ready to do the journey.
At first I feel unsure of where to go, so I ask my guides for help. I hear a voice saying: “I can help.” Surprisingly, it is Sophia, an angel cat whom we did not have the pleasure of knowing when she was alive, but who sadly lost her life to a car in the street where we live. We took care of her body and I did some Sacred Spirit Journeys for her. When I meet her in journeys, it is always in a special place in our garden, in the mid morning sun, close to a big oak tree, and she brings messages from the light. She often speaks about our origins as beings of light, and she is a very wise and compassionate angel cat. I had not realized until she spoke, that I am already sitting in ‘Sophia’s special place’.
Sophia says:
“You are here to connect with the light that now also embraces Mikey. He is a precious and fine soul that is very much of the light. He holds the light and he brings light.”
My attention is drawn out into the physical reality, and to the beautiful garden and life around me in this moment.
I sense Mikey beside me in the sun, sitting among the flowers – most of them blue flowers, like his eyes. There are insects and birds around us on this beautiful day.
Mikey looks up at me. He greets me and says:
“Thank you for inviting me into your light. I am grateful for having the opportunity to give Sharon a message. During the wonderful life we shared, Sharon and I, our hearts and souls not only shared a true bond that lasts even now after I have passed, but we also shared the connection to the light. I am of the light, and Sharon saw that. I held the light for her, keeping hope alive in her heart with my true love and my pure soul.
As a being of the light, I am at home here and I am doing well. I think with love and gratitude of the time we shared, Sharon and I.
A life well lived. That was me, and how I feel. I have no regrets. I was surprised at the passing, but at peace knowing my loved ones were with me as I made the big transition.
Be at peace, and let yourself ease into the light that surrounds and blesses you on a beautiful sunny day. Spend the day outside in a natural setting, and pay attention to the life around you. Open your heart to the beauty and wonder of the Divine manifested, as nature’s beings are, and let the light and peace you feel there fill your heart.
In that space, call on me. Look within your heart, fling the door to your heart wide open and feel how you become one with the beauty that you see, within and without. I’m right there with you, still holding the light for you, still looking at you with eyes that are windows to the soul and to the Divine. As you look into my eyes, you know, and no words are needed.
Our bond is very much a spiritual one, but let us also celebrate the physical bond and life together we were blessed with.

I am seeing images of Rebecca Campbell’s Work Your Light Oracle Cards. Working with these cards may be something that can inspire Sharon and give her insights on her path and life.
There are several of the individual cards that keep popping up in my mind, for example ‘Pleiades – Double mission: Channeling and uplifting humanity’is one card. Another card is ‘Break the chain – Ancestral patterns, healing, rewriting the future’. Note: If you have the cards, you can read the full text in the accompanying card book.
In the light with Mikey, I see how I shuffle the cards and put them out in front of me.
I notice that Sharon is here too, sitting holding Mikey, and both of them are smiling.
The card I see in front of me is:
‘The ever-unfolding rose – Cracked open, it happening for you, not to you.’
“That’s us”, Mikey says to Sharon about the last card.
“Indeed it is”, Sharon says smiling (as in ordinary physical reality a white butterfly flies and lands and sits on a flower near me).
Sharon says: “Mikey, my beautiful one, you are the light that shines in my heart. I will treasure our life together and your love. You gave me your heart as I gave you mine. We are soul travelers. Thank you for this journey. I look forward to our continued connection, whatever it may look like. I love you with all my heart and soul.”
“Me too you”, says Mikey smiling. Sharon and Mikey hug.
They say a warm goodbye, and as they have done that, Mikey merges with the light, and Sharon is back in her home. The sun is shining outside, and a white butterfly is flying by her window, just like it did for me during the journey. A blessing from Mikey in the Light.
I give thanks and end the journey.
A note: when I look at Mikey’s photo, every time I look at his eyes, I keep thinking of the light blue celestite (or celestine) crystal. Celestine derives its name from the Latin word caelestis meaning celestial.
