Since I lost my beloved cat Kia in 2012, I have received many messages of love and light from her, comforting me during my grief, and bringing peace and comfort to many others through my book, Healing Pet Loss and my blog posts on HealingPetLoss.com.
In a recent communication with my angel cat Kia, she shared beautiful insights and teachings on JOY. May her message inspire you and bring you comfort.
I share below an excerpt of my conversation with Kia. I ask Kia the question: What does Joy mean to you?
Kia’s answer:
“Joy to me is the light that shines in your heart. The love you surrounded me with when I was alive, and the love you have in your heart when you think of me now.
In our hearts we are one – that to me is joy.
Joy to me is not Doing all kinds of things, but it is the quiet joy of looking into your eyes and see your soul; to meet you in that place beyond separation where we can experience each other as one – without separation.
Joy is the feeling you get when you look inside your heart and KNOW I’m there.”
Marianne: “Thank you so much, Kia. Have you got a specific action step that my listeners or readers can take, to experience more joy in their life?”
Kia says:
“Your experience of joy depends on what and how you see. What you expect and your perspective determines whether you experience joy or not.
Don’t look through the lens of sadness and loss – instead go into your heart and find the love and light that’s there, and use that as the lens through which you view your life and the world.
It’s the same as seeing the glass as half empty or half full, of counting your blessings or your losses.
When you meet others, see their soul with love. Meet them in the place where you’re one, and recognize the light in them that also shines in you.”
Marianne: “What are you now, and what are you doing?”
Kia:
“I have returned to the light from where I came, and from here I share my light and love with you and others who need to bring light into their lives.”
Marianne: “Will you be back in physical reality again at some point?”
Kia:
“I am and go where I’m most needed. Right now I’m making the biggest difference by staying here in the light and being a portal for you into that light – a way for you to get access to the wisdom of the light.
As I’ve said before, it’s all about going beyond – beyond right and wrong, beyond life and death. Take a step beyond all that – beyond all judgments or concepts of separation, and you’ll be in the light with me.
The path is through the heart. Let your light shine and guide you on your life’s journey.
