Rodney Crowell, 'Fate's Right Hand'Adam’s Song
From the Rodney Crowell album “Fate’s Right Hand”, released in July 2003. Adam’s Song is simultaneously a lament, a tribute, and a divine inspiration all in one. Rodney sings to us about learning to live with a lifelong broken heart. A transforming song which reaches right into our heart and touches the deepest place – where we really need to be touched. My other personal favorites on this album are, This Too Will Pass, Earthbound, and Preachin’ To The Choir. Two songs on the album, Time To Go Inward and The Man In Me, may cause some listeners to spontaneously examine their core beliefs. (-LS)

Golden Shore
From the Frank Black album, “Fast Man Raider Man”, released in June 2006. Golden Shore is a gem which can help you take a step back and look at your life with a larger perspective. This is a song that your pet might sing to you when he knows he is dying. If your pet is dying, imagine him singing this song to you. If your pet has died, imagine him singing this song to you before his death. My other personal favorites on this album are, If Your Poison Gets You, Dirty Old Town, and I’m Not Dead (I’m in Pittsburgh) (-LS)

Ticket To Heaven
From the Dire Straits album, “On Every Street”, released in Sep 1991. Ticket to Heaven can help you in a very similar way to Golden Shore (previously mentioned on this page). This is a song that your pet might sing to you when he knows he is dying. If your pet is dying, imagine him singing this song to you. If your pet has died, imagine him singing this song to you before his death. The main emphasis here is on the first verse and the chorus where he sings, “Got my ticket to heaven, and everlasting life…”. My other personal favorite on this album is How Long, which is also a masterpiece. (-LS)

About sound quality
Amazon uses high quality 256 kilobits-per-second variable bit rate (see Amazon Digital Music Format) which is near top fidelity for MP3 music files. However, the quality of the on-line MP3 samples may only be between 64 and 128 kbps, and it may be difficult to properly evaluate songs when the sample is of low quality and short duration. (-LS)
