Rocco says: “Through light and darkness, highs and lows, we are together, you and I.”

[Rocco says: “Through light and darkness, highs and lows, we are together, you and I.”] I did this Healing Pet Loss Journey for Jennifer and her angel dog Rocco on Saturday, June 24, 2023.


I begin the Sacred Spirit Journey to connect with Jennifer’s angel dog Rocco, and as I do, I go deeper into the Now. Into my heart center. From my heart center, light and thankfulness go out and fill my whole being and a heightened awareness about everything that my body, my whole being, encounters. The light breeze is one example.

I feel a softness, or rather a soft presence that envelops or embraces me, approaching from the back right corner. I know intuitively it is Rocco. The soft energy he brings and surrounds me with is calming and reassuring. I am curious about why he comes from that side or angle.

Rocco stands on my right side and looks at me with his kind face. I think: “He is the kind who always has your back.”

Rocco says:

“Exactly. My gifts come up in a feeling and knowing way, rather than with words. Or as I like to call it: In a soul-knowing way!”

As he says that, I get a feeling or knowing that Rocco and Jennifer’s soul connection goes back before this lifetime.

And Rocco is a guide through the light as well as through the darkness. A loyal, trusted friend.

It is fascinating how that which usually comes out as messages directly from the pets, now comes through me. It is more than him speaking through me. It is also him inspiring me to use my intuition and perception. He comes strongly through in the ‘knowing’ way – if you consider the different ‘clairs’ for connecting with animals. It blends with the other ones, for example clairvoyance, for I keep getting an image or vision of being with Rocco in a nature landscape at night.

We are calmly walking in a forest, approaching a little house, possibly wooden. There is light inside and I can see through the windows. We enter the old house. There is an open fireplace with a fire burning.

Rocco goes to his place by the fire and lies down in what is obviously ‘his spot’. There is a cozy feeling in the little home, and very peaceful.

There is a knock on the door. Rocco looks up and nods to me. So I get up and open the door. Jennifer is here, and she says hello. As she sees Rocco, she calls his name, and runs happily over and embraces him.

Rocco is very happy to see Jennifer. Together they sit before the fireplace and look into the fire.

The deep stillness brings us deeper into the present, and into Being. Letting go of thoughts, and ‘mind stuff’, and relaxing into being here now. In this sacred, safe place. Rocco is a guardian too, and in his presence, it is impossible not to feel safe, protected, loved, and cared for.

Rocco says to Jennifer:

“So, have your arrived fully yet?”

Jennifer smiles and says to Rocco:

“Yes, I have. It feels as if I have moved from my mind and to my heart and also into my whole body.

There is an awareness of my heart center filled with the heart’s light that is there, but more than that, there is a fullness of awareness and presence in my whole body that grounds me. A feeling that you hold me in your love, light and protective energy that allows me to safely explore that soul connection we have.

I feel we have walked many a long road, night and day, through various nature landscapes. Always seeking nature, for that is where we are truly at home.

I always trust my path when I am with you, because you help me listen to my heart. I feel now how much of a guide and partner you really are. Way more than a loving companion in this life.

Soul partner, fellow soul traveler, thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything. I am at a loss for words in describing what you mean to me. I think you know the depth of my love for you. We all love you.”

Rocco smiles and says:

“Oh yes, I know, for I know your heart and your soul. Part of my mission is to gently guide you and support you as you live and explore your life.

I like to inspire you to explore the magic and adventures life has in store for you. To pay attention to the nudges, the dreams, the yearning, or simply to what brings you joy; what brings you peace.

In this place, we have a safe place, a sacred place, beyond time and space. We have our own light, so we are not dependent on or affected by outside light or darkness.

Our walks, or travels, take us through light and darkness, highs and lows, but through it all, we are together, you and I; our souls connected, as are our hearts.”


“I join in your gratitude, for I too think of our time together with deep gratitude and joy in my heart.

I feel a peace that is more vast and deep than normal peace, for it is the peace of knowing that we belong together and that our souls are connected.

It is also the peace of knowing without a doubt that if you call, I am there. And if I call, you are there.

There is never any doubt about that.

Trust is a big word for us, for between us there is the big trust, the beyond trust. The kind of trust rarely experienced otherwise.

Thank you for recognizing me as your fellow traveler in this life, and for sharing your life and heart with me.

As I have stood by you in life, I stand by you still, even as I am in the Light.

As for your question about what signs I send specifically: Pay especially attention to the knowing. That feeling you get when your heart knows I am around, or when you just know that a sign is from me.

Don’t let your mind bring doubt to your experience but trust your heart’s knowing.

Practice recognizing that ‘knowing without a doubt’ feeling.

Let’s go outside.”

Rocco gets up, and we all walk to the door. I open the door and we go outside, Rocco leading the way. It is dark. A bird suddenly begins singing, and then a chorus of birds join in. It is as if the birds singing had awakened the sun, and we now see the sun coming up, spreading light on the world, presenting us with a new day.

The forest path before us is lit up by the morning sun, and we start walking, led by Rocco.

Suddenly, a peacock comes walking out on the path from the right side, stopping right in front of us.

Rocco greets the peacock. Apparently they know each other.

Rocco says to Jennifer:

“Take the feather the peacock offers you, and bring it home. Let it be a help and reminder to ‘see’.”

Jennifer goes to the peacock who steps aside and reveals a beautiful long tail feather with an eye on, that just fell off his tail. It is magnificent.

“Study peacock,” says Rocco. “Ok,” replies Jennifer.

I notice that he doesn’t say more about what she is supposed to learn from peacock.

“Yes” Rocco says, “That is because I want her to reflect on and discover it for herself. Keep in mind, she and I, we are not just fellow travelers, but fellow explorers.”

Jennifer takes the feather and thanks peacock, and she embraces and thanks Rocco.

“Thank you, Rocco, my precious one. You always inspire me to be more of who I really am and to grow, to explore, to see further than I do in this moment. With you by my side, I am excited about what is ahead, because I know you have my back. Thank you, my sweet Rocco. I feel peace now, because I know in my heart and soul that you are still with me. I just want you to be happy.”

Rocco says:

“I am happy. I am doing exactly what brings me joy and meaning. My place is by your side.

Go home in peace with joy in your heart, with my gift. Reach out or meet me in our special place. When you call, I come to you. Bring my love to the others, and my blessings too.

May you all think with fondness of our life together and walk forth with the happy memories in your hearts.”

An opening then appears for Jennifer and she goes back home after saying a warm goodbye to Rocco.

I give thanks to Rocco and my spirit guide. I am back here in the garden, doing the Sacred Spirit Journey. Interestingly, it felt as if I came back into the Now from the back right side/corner.

I’m back.
