After the loss of a beloved animal companion, one of things that can bring deep peace and comfort is connecting with the animal that has passed, for example through my Sacred Spirit Journeys, where I connect with the angel animal and bring back their healing message for their loved ones. In the following I will share the Sacred Spirit Journey I did for Josie the angel cat.

As I begin the Sacred Spirit Journey to connect with Sarah’s angel cat Josie, I go within and connect with the light that shines within my heart, allowing it to expand and fill out my body. Becoming filled with light.
I send my awareness down to my feet. Instantly, I feel that I am walking in a forest. A beautiful green forest on a sunny late spring day. The forest is filled with light shining through the leaves on the trees. The green on the trees is fresh now, and the forest floor is covered with white anemones. Among all the white flowers is a blue one. Josie is there. She greets me warmly but briefly, because she has a mission. Josie goes straight to the blue flower and says:
“This one is for Sarah, as a reminder of my precious and infinite love for her. A reminder that within the infinity of our hearts, the bond of love we share, transcends time and space. Let the flower remind you that our love is alive within the sacred space of our hearts, and with this flower I send you my deepest gratitude and loving wishes for a joyful life.
My life was full. I lived in joy and love, and I brought peace to our meetings. May my peace find you now and ease the suffering of your heart. With my love and presence I brought light to all who met me. Call on me now to bring light to the dark places, that there may be light and joy once more.
Although our paths in the physical reality have parted for now, I am still with you in spirit, accompanying you and guiding you with my loving light.
I know your heart and soul better than anyone, and I am filled with gratitude for the life and love we shared.
I was blessed to have met you, and it is my hope that others who need it may be blessed by your loving care too.
Your big heart is a precious gift that is needed in the world. Find peace and strength in my love for you to continue your path of the heart.
You are never alone. In your darkest hour, call on me to comfort you, and in your joy, call on me to celebrate with you.
I am your loving companion. We are partners of the soul. Be at peace now, and know that our love lives forever. When you go within your heart, you’ll find my light shining there. Always.”
Josie stops speaking and sits quietly, looking at us. She is beautiful and radiant. A soft light is shining around her. No words can describe her beauty.
Her mere presence brings comfort to a grieving soul and brings light and peace to all that are blessed to meet her.
I feel deep gratitude and appreciation for meeting this soul so pure of heart, and so full of peace and love.
Sarah showed up during Josie’s speech, and Josie hands Sarah her blue flower. Sarah holds it close to her heart and says, “I will always keep your precious gift in my heart. Thank you.”
There is a bench bathed in sunlight. Sarah sits on the bench and Josie jumps up on her lap. Together they sit in stillness and peace. Singing birds are all that can be heard. Peace settles on all and all feelings of separation and worry are gone, for in Josie’s presence in their sacred place, there is only peace, light and a deep love that make their two hearts beat as one. As it is time to say goodbye, Sarah says:
“Thank you so much Josie. I will keep your words, your love and the image of this sacred place in my mind and heart, and I will return to it, for now I know I can find you through the portal of my heart. Your light which has lit up my path all these years, will continue to light up my life. All I need to do is see with my heart. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you do and are. You are my soul’s light.”
They say a warm goodbye. Sarah leaves for home with her beautiful flower and peace in her heart. Josie stays in her special place.
