The goal and desire of those who have lost a beloved pet is to experience that connection again that the physical companionship with their animal friend inspired. A direct connection with your pet is the best medicine for healing after pet loss, and below we will hear from Adrienne’s angel dog Maggie Mae, as I connect with her in a Sacred Spirit Journey,

As I begin the Sacred Spirit Journey to connect with Adrienne’s angel dog Maggie Mae, I am using my special writing technique to capture spirit messages. I write longhand on paper. During my preparations, as I begin to write, I notice a faint rainbow on the paper I’m writing on, coming from the sun shining through a crystal hanging in the window. How remarkable it happens to be right in that place now. The rainbow is moving across the paper.
My spirit guide says:
“The rainbow is a blessing from beyond. A sign from Maggie Mae. Let’s go to her now.”I center in my heart, and as the heart space opens, it’s like opening a door to a place filled with light. A beautiful, magical landscape. We walk out in that landscape. The colors of the rainbow seem to be dominant here. A stream has rainbow colors, a meadow is filled with flowers of all the colors of the rainbow, and a unicorn comes – white but with its horn shining like a pearl that glistens with soft rainbow colors.
“This is my magical landscape,” says Maggie Mae.She is happy to see us and comes walking towards us.
I ask her: “Are you doing okay?”
Maggie Mae says:
“Yes, I’m fine, but I am especially fine now that I have a chance to reconnect with Adrienne. She’s my soul’s companion, and in her grief, it is important to me to reach out with all my love and my light.Maggie Mae stops speaking and picks up a large crystal which, when the sun hits it, reflects and radiates all the colors of the rainbow.
My light comes in many colors, for my love is like a sparkling diamond, reflecting the colors of the rainbow as the sun shines on it. The colors represent all the aspects of my love and our bond, and they also represent the fullness of Adrienne’s personal and spiritual growth.
As I was her partner and teacher in life, I am still so in spirit. My joyful, compassionate, peaceful presence and never-wavering loyalty is still yours, Adrienne. I love you from the depth of my heart and my soul, and if you had all the diamonds in the world, my love would still outshine them.
Allow yourself to grieve the loss of my physical body and of our companionship on a physical level, for it is a loss I also feel. However, know in your heart of hearts that my spirit and my love are still with you. Whenever you look inside your heart, you will find me there.
Release the pain of the last days, for I am okay now. You did nothing wrong. You did the very best you could. The doctors couldn’t have done more.
As with all situations, and challenges, always look for the lesson you can draw from them. One lesson is to trust your heart’s guidance a little bit more. Another is embracing the difficult insight that there are things that cannot be fixed, cured, and that sometimes healing is not curing but passing into the light, and your greatest task is to be fully present with it all, in gratitude, while holding the light.
You could not have foreseen the events, so let them go, and let yourself ease into the Now, where peace is waiting for you and where I am present with my everlasting love for you. All will be well. All is well. See it as you go within your heart, for beyond the pain is the light I left behind.
By the way, the rainbow colors and energy can also be healing for you, cleansing and rejuvenating, as you slowly heal from your grief and little by little enter the peace and gratitude where you know I am near.
Grief will come up at times, and that is okay. Use that pain to connect with your heart and go beyond like I taught you. Grief and gratitude, they go hand in hand.”
Then, we all travel to Adrienne’s place in an instant. We are in a room where Maggie Mae puts down the crystal. Adrienne picks it up and places it in a window. As the sun shines on and through it, rainbow lights flicker all over the room. A magical feeling. A blessing from beyond.
Adrienne senses Maggie Mae – not so much seeing, but feeling, sensing, knowing she is near. She sits in a chair in the sun by the window, and as Maggie Mae jumps up on her lap, Adrienne knows and feels it, and together they sit in stillness and peace. No words are needed, for the nearness of their hearts and souls speak volumes. Adrienne sighs deeply and feels how peace begins to enter her broken heart.
“I will always remember this moment,” Adrienne says. “I always loved you, Maggie Mae, and I will always love you with my whole heart and soul. There’s no one like you.”They say a warm goodbye, and as Adrienne waves goodbye to Maggie Mae, she feels how the peace they experienced together stays with her, for she knows now in her heart that Maggie Mae is okay and that she is near.
Adrienne stays in the chair in the sun and rests in stillness in the sunlight. We say goodbye and I end the journey.
