[Gentle Heart, Sweet Soul – Angel Dog Sami] In this blog and episode of the Healing Pet Loss Podcast, I will share a Sacred Spirit Journey with a message I received from Kathryn’s Angel dog Sami. I did this journey on October 12, 2024.

As I sometimes do when I begin my preparations for a Sacred Spirit Journey, I play Erik Berglunds: ‘Healing Light’. This time, right when I begin preparing for the Sacred Spirit Journey to connect with Kathryn’s angel dog Sami, I see my spirit guide playing the harp while floating around on a little boat or platform of some kind. Peaceful and beautiful. It’s the first time that this has happened.
The connection with Kathryn’s angel dog Sami takes place as I center in my heart. It feels like there is a deep sigh of relief and peace. Sami is resting within my heart center – a place filled with light.
“Gentle heart, sweet soul” – are phrases I hear repeated several times as I quietly watch Sami rest.
As I connect with my spirit guide, I see right away many small lights flying around. As I look more closely, I see they are small fairies of light.
They fly over and settle near Sami. Sami opens her eyes, sees the little fairies, smiles and says, “Thank you for bringing me light, my friends.”
One of the little fairies goes close to Sami and says:
“We are here to honor your gentle heart, your sweet soul, and acknowledge your deep connection to Spirit and to us. You are family to us. A sweet, sensitive soul of pure heart, deserving and needing our spiritual support.
Why us, you might ask. We bring the Divine into manifest form, as you did during this life. A sensitive soul, you walked boldly but not always easily on Earth, and you were loved and you loved, fully and unconditionally. That was part of your mission or purpose: To experience the power of love, to bring spirit, the Divine into the Earth experience, to let the Divine hold you, as you are a child of the Divine.
Rest my dear, we hold you in our light and love. You are safe and protected, and healing is yours. Rest knowing all is well.”
Sami thanks the fairies and rests some more as the harp music plays in the background – in the Sacred Spirit Journey as well as in ordinary reality.
Refocusing on the harp music makes me again aware of my spirit guide floating on some nearby still water, playing the Divine music.
I feel drawn to change the music to Aeoliah’s ‘Angel Love’, and as I do, I see a soft pink boat come sailing towards us. It is decorated with beautiful fragrant roses in different pink shades, and sitting in the boat is Kathryn, and standing is Archangel Jophiel in her fuchsia pink color.
Jophiel brings and inspires in us, Divine beauty, faith, and joy, and she helps us see the positive; she uplifts us and envelopes us in her Divine beauty, light, and love.
The boat reaches the shore, and Kathryn and Archangel Jophiel go up on land. They both go to Sami and greet Sami with deep reverence, love, and respect. Sami is a unique, pure, beautiful soul. When you meet her, reverence and deep gratitude of being in her presence fills one’s heart and whole being.
Archangel Jophiel sprinkles rose petals around Sami, and Kathryn places a most beautiful bouquet of roses in different soft colors – pink soft yellow, peach, and more. I also get glimpses of daisy-like flowers and forget-me-nots.
My spirit guide stops playing and approaches Sami too. He places a bowl of healing water sparkling with light, before her. Sami nods smiling and drinks all of the water.
Sami is filled with healing light and strength. She gets up, stretches and sends Kathryn a radiant smile as she goes to her.
Kathryn bends down, embraces Sami, and says:
“My sweet, dearest Sami. It’s so good to see you. I am so sorry for everything. I feel I should have and could have saved you when you became ill. Can you please forgive me? You mean everything to me. My soul feels incomplete, and my heart in pieces without you by my side. I love you more than life itself. How can I go on without you?”
Sami looks calmly and lovingly into Kathryn’s eyes and says softly:
“Be at peace, my heart’s companion, my nearest and dearest friend. To you and all those who loved me, I say:
I love you all dearly, from the bottom of my heart. You took me into your life, and accepted me as family. For that, and for all your love and care, and companionship, I will always be grateful.
My sensitive, loving soul reflected your own sensitive soul. We were meant to walk this life together. It may not be as long as you would have wanted, or played out the way you had expected, but it was our life, and it contains all the blessings, joys, challenges, and lessons that are uniquely ours.
Please don’t blame yourself. Hold forgiveness in your heart and embrace the healing that is offered today. What I have received is yours as well, for everything my heart and soul hold is yours.
I am doing well, as you see, and all the healing, beauty, and love here is what I need right now.
This special place: Let is be your sanctuary as well. Let Archangel Jophiel guide you as she did today. She can lead you to me.
Or, you can enter your own heart and find me there. While your heart may feel broken; if you go beyond the pain, you will see me, feel me, and experience me and my sacred landscape.
The gateway to me is your own heart, for that is our true bond. The heart bond.”
“Take time in your daily life to share, perhaps in a journal, what is in your heart. Your heart may overflow with grief right now, but if you let gratitude in and make it a practice, love and peace will take their rightful place along with the grief. Allow it all to be there. What we share and what we are is beyond it all – our essence and our love are eternal.
I am doing well here and will stay here for now. However, if you need me, you can always call me, and I will come to you. I will be near.
Use both ways to connect – and more – as your intuition guides you. Simply intend to connect, or say my name, and pay attention.
Always near, and always dear.
I am yours always.
As you go home now, please bring my blessings and love to all my loved ones there. Thank you from my heart of hearts, all my sweet friends.”
Kathryn embraces Sami and thanks her for all her love and her beautiful message. After they sit together for a while, Kathryn gets up, looks at Sami and asks, “I will see you again?”
Sami smiles and says, “Yes, of course. Anytime you wish.”
Kathryn boards the pink boat again. Archangel Jophiel is already there. As they sail away, Kathryn faces Sami and waves to her.
Then Kathryn notices that on her seat is a gift from Sami. A silver necklace with a clear crystal pendant. The purity and clarity of the crystal is stunning.
Kathryn puts it on, holds it and quietly thanks Sami.
As Kathryn returns home, she feels peace of mind and knows in her heart that Sami is near.
I give thanks, say goodbye and end the journey.
