[‘Our love fills the universe. You know that, right?’ ~ angel dog Oliver] I did this Healing Pet Loss Journey for Erika and her angel dog Oliver on Sunday, October 22, 2023.


As I begin the connection with Oliver, the weather outside is gray and overcast, and has been for several days. The moment I begin connecting with Oliver, the sun comes out, filling the garden with bright sunlight. It felt like a true miracle. I find myself in a place of light with Oliver. I see a very tall tree. It looks like a beech tree or similar. It has fresh light green leaves, like you see them in the springtime.

On the forest floor, small flowers are coming up everywhere.

There is a feeling of not just ‘renewal’ but ‘Rebirth’.

Oliver stands among the trees and looks up at the top of one of the tallest ones. I then spot a squirrel sitting almost at the top of the tree.

Oliver turns and looks at me and smiles. He says:

“It pays to have your awareness with you and send it out in the environment when you are out walking. You never know what you will see. Tell Erika that. Tell her that I like to join her on her walks, and I like to draw her attention to the beautiful and awesome things that are all around when you just stand still and really see.

Isn’t life beautiful and magical? Enjoy every living moment you are blessed with. Knowing that we will meet again in the Light should bring you peace of mind so you can enter the Now fully and realize that I am with you still.

I am the light that shines in your heart,
I am the birds that sing in the forest,
I am the fragrance of the flowers, the breeze on your face, the whisper in your ear saying ‘I love you’.

A love like ours can never die.

Go within your heart with gratitude, and feel me there. Let the love you feel overflow, just like mine does, and always did, for love is my message, and my mission.

Living with love in my heart, giving love freely and generously, and soaking it up thankfully when showered with love by you, my most precious companion.

We are Soul travelers in the Light, meeting again and again through generations, always recognizing each other when we look at each other from the heart. Our souls recognizing each other wherever we may be in the Universe. Our love fills the Universe. You know that, right?”


During Oliver’s speech, Erika had shown up and picked Oliver up in her arms, holding him close as he looked at her, expressing his love for her. Erika says:

“Oh Oliver, I never thought I was worthy of such deep, unconditional love that you just declared. But, deep in my heart I always felt it, and knew it was true. Our love is unique and grand and forever. My soul knows that.”

Oliver says:

“And joy, don’t forget that.

Return to joy. Let joy into your heart and life. Remember the joy we had, and let it coexist with the grief you still feel over my sudden loss. Let them go hand in hand and know it is okay to hold both. The great sadness and the greatest joy are not separate. They are both based on Love.

Love is the essence. Love is everything. Love is what creates this beauty you see around us.”


Erika puts Oliver down on the ground and watches as he runs around on the forest floor. He is an expression of utter joy, and makes us all smile and feel deep, deep gratitude for life, for love, for this moment.

As Oliver comes back, Erika asks, “Could I have done something differently that could have prevented the accident that lead to your passing?”

Oliver says:

“Let go of the ‘what if’s’ and the ‘should have’s’, and surrender to the Now. There is nothing but the eternal Now. As you embrace that, everything is okay. The ability to surrender to the Now enables us to connect across space and time, and meet in the precious Now.

In our hearts we are one.
In our souls we each see the other.
Let’s go forward in faith, in love, in joy.
Thank you for everything.
Thank you for letting me share my life with you.
Thank you for recognizing in me a kindred soul, and a heart companion.
I love you now and forever.”

We then see Archangel Chamuel with his light green color; the color of new spring leaves on a beech tree. He is a bringer of peace; inner peace, outer peace, and a bringer of hope as well.

Archangel Chamuel says to Erika:

“Blessings, my child. I come to help you return to peace. The peace of the present moment when you release the fear or worry about the past and the future, and embrace the eternal Now where everything exists, and where you are held in Divine Love.

I come to you with a reminder to focus on and see new life, to experience a rebirth, where separation ends and you feel Oliver with you, walking side by side with you in spirit as you walk forth in your life.

The Divine has your back. Just ask for help, and we are all ready to help.”

Erika says, “Thank you so much. That is very kind of you.”

Erika then turns to Oliver, embraces him thanks him again, and says, “Goodbye, my sweet Oliver. I will love you forever.”

Oliver says, “I love you too.”

Suddenly a lot of butterflies are all around us. Beautiful, of many colors and light green too. They hold Oliver in their color, light, and energy, and as they take off with him, he says:

“Goodbye again. Don’t forget: Just call and I will be with you. Thank you for everything. We will meet again.”

We wave as we watch the butterflies and Oliver leave. Archangel Chamuel joins Erika as she walks home.

I give thanks and end the journey.
