[“My Gift for You Is Inner Peace,” ~angel cat, Little Dab] In this episode of the Healing Pet Loss Podcast and Blog, I will share a Sacred Spirit Journey I did about three months after the passing of our beloved cat Little Dab. Besides checking in with her and hearing how she is doing, I focused especially on learning what lessons and qualities Little Dab has that are helpful to us in our lives. I did this Journey on Wednesday February 17, 2021.
You can both read and listen to Little Dab’s’s message below.

As I begin the Sacred Spirit Journey to connect with Little Dab, I become present where I am. I take a deep breath in and relax into peace and presence on the exhalation. I listen to the sounds, watching my thoughts, and resting in the stillness. . .
I hear Little Dab say:
“It’s like going to sleep and waking up in a new landscape and reality.
I was familiar with that reality so it didn’t come as a surprise to me. When I transitioned, I mean.
The fear you hold is unnecessary. The presence of the Divine is tangible . So powerful, so beautiful, and so comforting.
You are not alone. Fear not what’s on the other side or beyond the Earthly life.
Practice going into the stillness within, for that is the gateway or portal to the Divine.
A daily meditation or stillness practice is helpful for you.
I used meditation and showed you that when I was alive, and I can show you now too.
My gift for you is inner peace.
Move forward with faith and peace in your heart. I am with you.”
It seems that Little Dab has sent me an ‘audio message’, so to speak.
I experience light all around me. My spirit guide leads me high up; up to my angel cat Minnie’s meadow.
So many flowers here. Minnie comes and offers us flower wreaths. “Thank you, Minnie,” I say.
Minnie comes over and touches my leg, and I bend down and touch her. She is beautiful, loving, and kind.
Minnie leads us to Little Dab.
To get to Little Dab, we walk among some trees and bushes, and spot an angel in the distance. We walk towards the angel. It is Archangel Jophiel. She is holding a basket with fragrant pink rose petals and roses. Jophiel spreads flowers around Little Dab who is resting in the grass, and she offers us some flowers too.
We sit down, look around, enjoying the blue sky, and the flowers in the vast meadow, the tree nearby, and the birds in the tree, singing their song.
After a while, Little Dab wakes up and looks at us. She lights up as she sees me. I bend down and put my head close to hers, and she bumps her head against mine.
“I love you, Little Dab,” I say, as I touch her soft fur. She is radiant, peaceful, and gentle.
We sit together in stillness for a while. Then, Little Dab gets up and walks across the meadow. My spirit guide and I follow.
Little Dab stops by a little pond. She has led us to where my angel cats Freedom and Pittiput are resting, and just as they see me, my angel cat Sam comes bouncing out from among some bushes and charges towards me, full of joy (typical for Sam). I greet them all warmly. When things are calm, my angel cats Little Tut and Kia come too. Little Tut settles on my lap, and Kia right next to me where I can touch her.
Little Tut says:
“Little Dab holds the peace for us, and she is a good connector. She gets along with all in her own quiet way, and she facilitates meetings and the like. We are grateful to have her quiet, gentle presence among us. We appreciate her.”
“Thank you, Little Dab,” they all say – and I do too.
Little Tut jumps down and Little Dab comes up on my lap. I sit with her, holding her close, thinking of our time together, especially the last period where I was fortunate to spend much time with her.
Little Dab says:
“There’s a blessing or silver lining to every challenge. Do not see challenges as bad and insurmountable, but BE in them without resistance, and open up to the hidden blessings they contain. That’s how you find your way to peace. When you find that blessing, the challenge becomes manageable; often a gift, even.
Thank you for everything. I know you miss me, but I am not gone from your heart, only from your physical life – for now, anyway.
What is physical is temporary; what the heart contains, is eternal. The heart is the gateway to your soul and to the Divine. Hold on to the spark of the Divine you find in your heart, and let it guide you through your life. That is how you find true happiness and peace.
Many blessings to you all.
Come back when you can. We’d love to see you here.”
The others chime in, “Yes we do.”
I thank Little Dab and the others and say goodbye.
Minnie leads us to the exit. I thank her, say goodbye and leave for home.
I end the journey.
